Square Mile provides Wi-Fi to sailors in the UK 's 50 largest and most prestigious marinas. Usage by sailors has topped 1.35 million minutes per month with hundreds of users subscribing daily. Dominic Killinger, Managing Director of Square Mile, secured new investment after facing the panel of Dragons. The show, aired at 8pm on 15 November on BBC2, showed Dominic involved in a gruelling interview with the Dragons, with only three minutes to pitch his ideas for developing the Square Mile. Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis were the first to see the huge potential that Square Mile had to offer and agreed to co-invest in the business, but only after all the Dragons bar one made an offer to invest. As a result of this investment, Square Mile is poised to grow the brand across Europe as well as launching exciting new products such as VoiP, CCTV cameras and a brand new sailing portal. 1st October 0515 hours online every day, every site... It's taken 3 years to get there, but usage across the 50 prestige Square Mile sites has smashed thru' the million minute barrier at a rate of 25% per month. 22nd August 05A massive 1 million minutes per month! Square Mile has now smashed through the record 1 million minute month barrier - a 25% increase in just one month. "This equates to nearly 12 hours of solid usage per site every day, almost unbelievable. User numbers are soaring too," said Dominic Killinger Managing Director. Today Square Mile released usage figures showing 800,000 minutes of usage per month. It is estimated that this is the highest utilization per hotspot of any hotspot operator in the UK.
